The three Muskateers

We all had a very busy week.  Ella is starting to really communicate vocally.  She talks all the time.  Her teeth are starting to come in on the top now.  She’s having a hard time sleeping at night and is quite fussy which is unusual for her.  Last night she woke up at 11:30 and I had to rock her back to sleep in her bouncie in the family room.  She finally fell asleep and I slept next to her on the couch.  Needless to say I don’t sleep very well on the couch.  In addition she’s got quite a bit of congestion and runny nose so that isn’t helping her sleep either.  Ella is entering the separation anxiety stage now.  She cries when I leave the room.  Annalina is also getting over a cold.  Annalina was doing so well with her potty training and then over the weekend she didn’t want to use the potty.  Every time we ask her she says “No potty” and that was the end of that.  Hopefully she will get back on track this week.  I bought her some new big girl underwear at the store on Friday so hopefully this helps her get motivated again.  Annalina is doing well with her colors and communication.  I point to colors and she’s able to say what they are.  She still has quite a few tantrums each day but that’s part of being two I guess.  After about a couple of minutes she’s fine.  When we try to correct her she just says “Not nice Momma”.  Abbie had a school trip to Washington DC last week for three days.  She had such a good time!  She shared a room with her friend from school.  It was a good learning experience for her as well.  The weather has been so nice down here.  Warm and in the seventies each day.  I really don’t feel like we had much of a winter as the weather was so warm.  Looking forward to even warmer weather to come!  Have a Great Week!

Aunt Care with Ella & Annalina
Ella & Farmore
Annalina, Abbie & Ella

We had a great week!  Aunt came over on Friday for a visit with the girls.  She was so excited to see them and was amazed how much they have changed since she last visited and she was able to finally meet Ella as well.  Ella has become timid around strangers which is new for her.  She cried a couple of times when Aunt Care tried to hold her.  I think she was also tired as well as it was evening time.  Patrik’s mom or Farmore as we call her arrived on Sunday for a visit.  She stayed until Thursday morning.  She went out shopping on Monday and bought the girls new spring dresses.  She had purchased a pink dress for Ella before and bought Abbie and Annalina dresses that coordinate well.  I’m planning to get the girls pictures taken in a few weeks.  We went out for dinner on Tuesday night to a nice French restaurant close to the house.  The food was great and we had a good time.  Nice to get away and have some adult time and conversation.  They had a ST Patrick’s day party on Friday in Annalina’s class.  I went in and helped the teacher’s set-up.  It’s funny to see 3 tables of 2 year olds all sitting together eating.  Very cute and its funny the conversations they have together.  One of our baby sitter’s came home from college this week.  She came by for a visit and Annalina ran up to her and gave her a big hug.  We were amazed Annalina remembered her.  It’s been a few months since we last saw her.  Abbie ran in a race at school on Thursday.  The race was a fund raiser for new books next year.  Abbie ran 35 laps and it was $1 per lap.  She did very well!  Abbie found out yesterday that she was accepted at Durant Middle School next year.  It’s a year round school so it will take some getting used to not having all summer off but she’s excited about going there.  The school is much newer than the other middle school and several of her friends are going there as well.  I hope you enjoy my blog this week!

Ella 6 Months

Abbie (10) & Annalina (2)

Pam, Ella, & Annalina on Sunday after Church

This week has been busy for us.  Annalina is starting to use the potty all the time.  Her teachers say she's ready and excited when she uses the potty.  Her newest line is "I did it"  She says this over and over again when she does something and she wants you to notice.  Annalina is saying more and more each week and its neat to hear her speak sentences.  She participates in the tumble bus every Monday.  It's a bus that they have converted into a gym and she has so much fun jumping around.  We have to pay extra for this but its only $20 a month and its worth it as she loves it.  Ella is growing and doing great.  She had her 6 month checkup at the Dr on Friday.  She now weighs 17.5 pounds.  She is 75th percentile in her weight, 88th percentile in her length, and 55th percentile in her head circumference.  Ella had her flu shot and this shot hurt more than the other ones.  She cried for a while and once I rocked her she was better.  She was back to her normal cheerful self shortly after.  We have nicknamed Ella "Mella Ella" because she is so mellow and calm.  She only cries when she is tired or hungry.  Ella is now eating twice a day.  Rice cereal with fruit and vegetables.  She loves sweet potatoes, hates green beans, and loves all fruit.  Anything sweet.  Well I guess she takes after my side of the family and has that sweet tooth.  Everyone says Ella looks like me because she has my blue eyes and smile.  Abbie is doing well and loves school still.  She had a Girls Scout skating outing on Saturday and she earned a badge.  She did really well selling Girl Scout cookies this year and I was able to get some people from work to buy some.  She starts middle school next year.  Time sure does fly!  She has applied to go to Durant Middle School which is right across the street from where Annalina and Ella go to daycare.  Its a year round school so it will take some getting used to with her schedule and going to school for the full summer.  Work is busy for me now as we start quarter end.  They did several layoffs last week so the atmosphere is not so good at work.  Overall everyone had a good week!  I hope you like the blog!
